November's recipe comes from the Arnold family

Chris wanted to share his family's turkey dressing recipe. This family favourite is made every year on Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Arnold Family Dressing

Cook time: 35 minutes

Prep time: 15 Minutes

Total time: 50 minutes

Makes: 10 servings

Ingredients

1 Cup Margarine
1 Onion (chopped)
1 Celery stalk (chopped)
2 tablespoons Poultry Seasoning
4 teaspoons Salt
1 tablespoon Pepper
1 Loaf of Bread
Milk or Broth

Directions

  1. Melt margarine in a saucepan
  2. Add onion and cook over low heat until tender, stirring occasionally
  3. Add and stir in celery, salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning
  4. Put torn bread in a large bowl & add margarine mixture
  5. Stir until well mixed
  6. Add milk or broth, a little at a time, if you like a moist dressing
  7. Spoon into greased 13- x 9-inch (3L) glass baking dish or 12-cup (3 L) casserole dish; cover with foil
  8. Bake in 400 F (200 C) oven for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until hot and the top is crisp
